Best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun

Updated October 5, 2026

Cancun has some of the most popular all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. Your rate covers meals, drinks and usually activities, so you know most of the cost of your holiday before you leave.

We picked the resorts guests rate highest and split them into adults-only and family-friendly. All ratings come from verified guest reviews.

Hotel Zone or Costa Mujeres?

Most resorts sit along the Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera), a long strip of beach between the Caribbean and the Nichupté Lagoon. Addresses are given as a kilometre marker on Kukulcán Boulevard. Resorts at the northern end, around km 9 to 10, face the calmer Bay of Mujeres. Further south the beaches face the open Caribbean, with bigger waves.

Costa Mujeres and Playa Mujeres, north of downtown, are newer and quieter, with large resorts and fewer bars and shops within walking distance.

When to go and what to check before you book

December to April is the driest and busiest season, with the highest prices around Christmas, New Year and spring break. June to November is hurricane season, with the highest risk from August to October. Seaweed (sargassum) can reach the beaches in the warmer months.

Not every rate at an all-inclusive resort includes meals. Check the meal plan shown on each rate, and book a free-cancellation rate if you're travelling during hurricane season.
